30/70 is the industry standard gas blend for pouring nitro beers like Guinness, traditional cask-style bitters, and small ales.
The high 70% nitrogen content creates tiny tight bubbles, giving the drink its signature velvety mouth feel and a dense, lasting foam head.
Pushing the beer through a stout restrictor tap using this nitrogen-heavy mix produces the famous visual surge and cascade effect as the micro bubbles settle in the glass.
The balanced 30/70 ratio maintains the push pressure without over carbonating the beverage.
